Initial setup

This runbook is for reseller admins who have been provided with a server running GlobaLeaks by OpenSource Whistleblower Portal.

Prerequisites

• Set-Up Channel
• Recommended Settings
• Add Recipient

1. You have received an email with an activation link.
2. You have received your CNAME/IP address from OpenSource Whistleblower Portal.
3. You have access to the DNS settings of the desired domain.
4. You know under which domain you want to operate this instance (e.g., reports.your-domain.com).
   • Resellers: You know which root domain you want to use. Here are some examples:
     • customername.app.your-domain.com
     • customername.portal.your-domain.com
     • customername.tips.your-domain.com
     • customername.reports.your-domain.com

Runbook

1. Save the credentials for your email account (for GDPR-compliant sending) in your password manager.
2. Set up your user account.
3. Check the notification settings. The credentials for your email account (for GDPR-compliant sending) should be entered here. If in doubt, change the credentials.
4. Follow the Runbook Recommended Settings.
5. Follow the Runbook Set Up Site.
