Site setup

This runbook is for admins who want to configure a new site.

Prerequisites

Note

This runbook also references other runbooks, which may have their own prerequisites. These runbooks are:

• Set Up Channel
• Recommended Settings
• Add Recipient

1. You have the logo with a side length of no more than 500 pixels.
2. You know which languages you need and have the following texts (per language) available:
   • Link to the imprint (possibly in the local language)
   • Link to the privacy policy (possibly in the local language)
   • Link to the whistleblowing policy (possibly in the local language)
   • Text for notices to be displayed in advance, such as data protection notices
   • Questions for the whistleblower (there is a standard questionnaire)
3. The GlobaLeaks case management knows the statuses NEW, OPENED, and CLOSED. You know if additional statuses are needed and how they relate to each other.
4. You have received the credentials for your email account (for GDPR-compliant sending).

Runbook

1. Add a site and configure HTTPS.
2. Set up the languages for this site.
3. Perform the basic settings (in all languages):
   1. Upload the logo
   2. Set the project name
   3. Set the homepage title
   4. Set the presentation (notices to be shown in advance)
   5. Optionally, set a disclaimer
   6. Optionally, set a link to the whistleblower policy
   7. Optionally, set a link to the privacy policy
   8. Set the footer with a link to the imprint
4. Perform advanced settings:
   1. Hide the notice about the Tor Browser (if desired).
   2. Configure the individual customer service address.
5. Set up a questionnaire. Preferably with question templates (in all languages).
6. Create channels, if necessary (in all languages).
7. If you want to use more than the standard statuses in case management, create custom statuses (in all languages).
8. Configure email notifications.
9. Optionally, perform the recommended settings.
10. Add employees to the internal reporting office.
